5/17/2014  Billings Montana

Well, it's a major change from Hawaii!  I'm in Billings for an Exxon Refinery shutdown coming up early next year, doing the planning for it now.

So here I sit in my little RV debating whether the weather is good enough for a bike ride.  It's only 61 degrees out - a bit cool for my still-Hawaiian blood.  At least it isn't snowing like it was last week.  The birds are singing and everything is turning green.  Lilacs are blooming!

Once again, I get to enjoy the scent of lilacs on the breeze as I did last year in Wyoming.  Funny how some smells can bring back childhood memories so strongly.  Lilac bushes with clouds of bees around them.  Hyacinths and daffodils.  Green grass and the bright green of new leaves on the trees.

The bicycle is calling and I must go find a fresh lilac bush so I can stick my face in it.
